Carrie Hane Dennison is a content strategist who recently defected from the agency world to take digital-first experience thinking to the American Society of Civil Engineers, a 160-year-old professional association. Having come to the web accidentally after studying international affairs, she enjoys practicing diplomacy by bringing together business and customer needs as well as helping strategists, designers, and developers work together to produce products that don’t suck. She has mastered the art of strategic nagging through 15 years of web strategy experience working with non-profits, government agencies, and corporations. Carrie’s local, regional, and national talks have helped other people get content strategy going in their own organizations, and her work has been referenced in books and interviews. She lives in the Northern Virginia suburbs of Washington, DC.
